Okay, so maybe you've never heard of the Tokaj-Hegyalja wine district, but trust us. Hungarians are good at several things: wine, hospitality, and alcohol in general. And this hotel is actually built in the middle of a winery. You can learn about wine-making, see it in action, or simply enjoy a few bottles, the choice is yours. There's also a beautiful spa complex, but the wine is never far away, because it includes vinotherapy treatments with cosmetics made from grape and wine extracts.
The Andrássy Kúria has 42 guest rooms (one's a presidential suite and two are junior suites), each with cable internet, satellite TV (so you don't have to speak Hungarian), silent air-con, and a relaxation area next to the bedroom (funny, we thought you were meant to relax in the bedroom).
Prices are really reasonable for the quality: starting at 88 Euros ($120) for a double room in off-beak, and rising to 192 Euros ($260) per night in peak season for the presidential suite. The Andrássy Kúria opened last month, but they haven't yet managed to update their website with real pictures: we hope this doesn't mean that the reality didn't turn out as good as the plans.
