We were driving on La Cienega in Los Angeles last week and we noticed that the Le Meridien Hotel has been officially closed and boarded up.
Technically called the Le Meridien Beverly Hills (it's on the border), the hotel was closed a few months back and a new hotel by nightclub king Sam Nazarian will open on the spot under the SLS Hotels name which will also be a part of Starwood Hotels.
The new hotel is expected to open in 2008.
