"Digitally programmable desert rain showers". We don't really know what these are but since we read that the new spa at the Desert Springs JW Marriott has them, we really wanna go. Spa Desert Springs opened up last week to give a bit more luxury and pampering to all those hardworking Hollywood stars, and others with a decent wad of cash to spare.

In total, the new spa area covers 38,000 square feet and has all kinds of different sections, including a few private suites and the "spa within a spa" which groups can book. Check out the description of one private suite:

A 600 square-foot private suite, called the Spa Sanctuary, was designed to cater to VIPs and Hollywood elite.

Staffed by a personal butler, the Sanctuary has a private entrance, a two-person hydrotherapy tub in the walled-in private courtyard and another tub indoors.

Sanctuary guests will also enjoy their own changing room, vanity area, digitally programmable shower and living area with a fireplace and high-definition TV.

That's some serious spa time. For the regular spa-goers, there are special Turkish-style steam chambers, and a 10-foot waterfall at check-in. In the men's area, there are flat screen TVs, but apparently not in the women's area.

Oh, and about those digitally programmable showers? We're still not quite sure what they are but we do know that they "come with five heads, allowing guests to fully choreograph their shower experience". Gotta do that.
