We've decided to honor this Friday, July 20, 2007 as Renovation News Friday!

Finally, the Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood has had enough celebrity vomit and is undergoing a renovation of all its rooms. A tipster let us know that the hotel is doing a $20 million renovation of the rooms and spa that will begin mid-August.

But when we checked a room reservation for August 15th including a spa treatment, an available room and spa package popped up for $470 a night. Which is crazy because that's the middle of the week. Nevertheless, it looks like the hotel will remain open during these renovations.

In other Morgans Hotel Group news, they are offering end of summer deals at all their locations. Some notable deals include:

· $50 off the best available rate at either the Hudson Hotel or Morgans.

· 25 percent off the best available rate at The Clift when you book two consecutive nights.

· A complimentary upgrade and a $25 food and beverage credit at the Mondrian Scottsdale.

Also, Morgans promises a "new" Royalton Hotel premiering in Fall 2007.
