A while back, we heard the first whisper about the building of the Loden Vancouver, and now Kor Hotels is saying it will open this fall.

The hotel is being labeled an "urban retreat", and will feature 77 deluxe rooms, include 6 suites and a penthouse, a restaurant and a large spa and fitness center. The location is actually in the business district near the Trade and Convention Centre and with the Alaska Cruise Ship terminal also conveniently nearby.

The Loden also has a blog, under the green room title, so far contributed to only by the general manager, David Curell. He talks about the Loden's goal to offer holistic wellness programs and compares them to his own lack of fitness in recent years, and describes the process of opening a hotel as being like producing a movie, and he's the director. But the movie's not released yet, so we'll wait and see if we like it.
