When we think of the Maldives, snorkelling, scuba diving and relaxing at the pool are the kinds of activities which spring to mind. But those heading to the Hilton Maldives Resort and Spa (to become the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island in December) should add another activity to the list: cheese-tasting.

Why go to France or New Zealand or anywhere else with great cheese, when the Hilton Maldives fromagier has done all the hard work for you.
They collect cheese from all corners of the globe, boasting that some of the cheese would even be difficult to track down in its country of origin, and they guarantee a choice of more than 101 cheeses (but the max is usually 130).
The Wine Bar offers deals like a platter of up to seven cheeses, with tastings of up to four wines specially chosen to match the cheese (price range is $17-$35 depending on the size of the cheese plate).
What sounds even just a bit better, though, is that the bar also offers special chocolate and wine pairings. And when you've had enough cheese and chocolate, you're also at a pretty special resort (they do have the world's only undersea restaurant) and you can still go snorkeling or relax by the pool if you want.
