With occupancy so high in most areas, the name may be misleading but the rates for this package are decent (see screen shot) even if you pay up to see the ocean that is.
So is it worth an extra $110 to see a glimpse of the waves in an "ocean view room"? Is it worth another $110 to go from that to "oceanfront"? We'd stay out of our room and use the extra for cocktails with a view from the swanky bar, but that's just us.
This package is good for bookings for July through September (known locally as "the sweltering months"). And it is advertised as fourth night free with a three-night stay, which definitely makes it more attractive, but we couldn't get that to work on their Web site, so you should phone them to sort it out (877-787-3447).
The same with other deals on the special offers page.
Speaking of Web sites, why are these big corporate ones so slow to update their photos? If they're open for business, is it so hard to snap a new digital photo of the exterior and get rid of the architectural drawing that shows up on the home page?
