At the Camelback Inn, in Scottsdale, the year-round Escape Golf Package starts at $189 per night, a savings of over 50% off the high-season rate. The summer-special package includes unlimited golf for two at the Camelback Golf Club's awarding-winning 36-hole courses, a casita-style room and a $50 dining credit good at the inn's seven restaurants and lounges. Separately, children eat free all summer at all of Camelback's restaurants when they're with a paying adult.

The JW Marriott Desert Ridge, in Phoenix, is also offering an unlimited golf package, at $249, at its Wildfire Golf Club. For the ladies, Desert Ridge's Girlfriend Getaway, which runs $549 and up during the high season and includes two spa treatments, two Cosmopolitans and "Gal Pal" turndown gifts, is $289 a night between June 14 and October 9. That's a savings of up to 45%. Hard not to go, girl. Also at Desert Ridge: A book-by, room-only special that ends June 30. Book by month's end, get a room between June 14 and September 5 for $169 per night.

The two Marriott properties are both offering spa savings: Half off a second treatment when booking two treatments. The offer runs through September 30, with block dates of July 6 - 8 and September 1 - 3. Other joint deals: Free golf to all children 16 an under, starting at 3 P.M. each day.

From the looks of it, Desert Ridge's four acres of landscaped pools might make you momentarily forget you're in the desert. (That would be Sonora.) The Camelback's got three pools, so summertime, and the dipping is easy.
