Mykonos: Magical or Mediocre at the Santa Marina?

While it might belong to something as massive sounding as the Starwood Hotels chain, the Santa Marina on Mykonos, Greece, takes great pains to point out that it's not big. And that's why, they say, service is personalized, professional, and (if you believe the blurb) practically perfect.
Well, they do have a private helicopter and a speedboat just for the use of guests, not a claim that every resort can make. They also have their own (organic) farm, a private beach, and a floodlit tennis court: coach available on request.
But while this all sounds gorgeous, most of the feedback from recent guests is that the Santa Marina is good, but just not great. The staff are friendly and the views are perfect--but perhaps the natural beauty of the Greek islands is more responsible for this than the hotel itself. Problems include mediocre food in the restaurants (perhaps organic doesn't always equate to delicious), some moments of slow service, and a few people have had more troubles when they visit in the off-season. But on the other hand, it's Mykonos. It'll always be beautiful and people will always go there.
