This week we are focusing on the latest news and reviews on the London Hotel Scene. We'll be looking at budget hotels, Wimbledon hotels, The Concert for Diana hotels and more. So if you've got a London hotel story or query, then c'mon now--fill us in.

On July 1st, those adorable Princes Harry and William are marking what would have been their mom's 46th birthday (as well as the tenth anniversary of her death) with Concert for Diana, a gigantic event held at Wembley Stadium featuring somewhere around 23 performers. The lineup includes everyone from Andrew Lloyd Weber and Duran Duran (YES) to P. Diddy and Fergie (the Pea, not the duchess) and even Roger Hodgson of Supertramp. But where to stay?

MORE

Well, all over the event's website, there is a statement written in hot pink that reads "Official Police advice: DO NOT DRIVE to Wembley Stadium" and then the Wembley site itself has a nice animation of a car being towed. So we thought about recommending a hotel within walking distance, but then we realized Wembley is not exactly in central London and it's going to be a total zoo over there anyway.

Check out Number 5 Maddox Street, a super hip Mayfair hotel with rates starting around 260 pounds. We absolutely love the loft suites, high-ceilinged and chic enough to make us feel like we're in the swankiest of London flats.

The 2-bedroom Loft Terrace Suite has a cute balcony decorated with bamboo furniture and kick-ass views of the city. The site also says the hotel offers, and we quote, a "'Big Bar' with 'good' and 'bad' options", whatever that means. Like, Cadbury chocolate and Absinthe?

To get to Wembley Stadium from the hotel, it's a 30-minute journey on the tube from the nearby Oxford Circus stop. Easy enough.

Oh hey: we hear if you book right now for a couple nights over the weekend, they'll kick your rate down.
