Another great spot to check out the works is the Sofitel Water Tower thanks to its superb views. If you book the Two Nights getaway, the rates are $215 a night.
For an even fancier stay we suggest the Park Hyatt Chicago where you can dine in style and take in the city sights at the hotel's NoMi restaurant. Rooms for July 3 and 4 are going for $385 a night which is steep but actually reasonable for a Park Hyatt in a big city.
Also close to Navy Pier are some less swanky options like the Four Points by Sheraton which wouldn't be a very good place to watch the fireworks but at $175 a night for a junior suite (king bed with double sofa), it's a good cheap stay. Then you can walk over to Navy Pier. It's not a quick walk but it's do-able especially when its not zero below outside.
