Best Hotels for Fireworks in Chicago

Fourth of July is just a week away so in case you are headed to a big city for some fireworks fun, we'll be taking a look at hotels with prime fireworks views. Have a favorite hotel for gawking at bombs bursting in air? Send it our way.

The fireworks in Chi-town are set to go off at the city's Navy Pier at 9pm and a good place to watch the show would be from the Omni Chicago on nearby Michigan Avenue. The all-suite hotel is offering a Definite Stay promotion--which means what it says and requires full prepayment--for $199 a night on July 3 and July 4. Not a bad deal and you know those Omni Hotels, they are soo good for you.

Another great spot to check out the works is the Sofitel Water Tower thanks to its superb views. If you book the Two Nights getaway, the rates are $215 a night.

For an even fancier stay we suggest the Park Hyatt Chicago where you can dine in style and take in the city sights at the hotel's NoMi restaurant. Rooms for July 3 and 4 are going for $385 a night which is steep but actually reasonable for a Park Hyatt in a big city.

Also close to Navy Pier are some less swanky options like the Four Points by Sheraton which wouldn't be a very good place to watch the fireworks but at $175 a night for a junior suite (king bed with double sofa), it's a good cheap stay. Then you can walk over to Navy Pier. It's not a quick walk but it's do-able especially when its not zero below outside.
