Montauk's Oceanside Beach Resort Gets Flickred

If you don't have a house already hooked up in the Hamptons with 10 other people, there are some hotel options on the island. But one you might want to avoid is the Oceanside Beach Resort in Montauk.

Flickr member Andrea F. Lee posted this pretty picture of the place but with a not-so-pretty review:

Erm, not totally recommended, although the location of the place is decent relative to the "center" of town. The remote didn't work, the furniture didn't match, the phone book was non-existent, and the walls were super-thin. Eh, whatever...

Another thing to note is that even though this place calls itself a "resort", its website is MontaukMotel.com. Then again, when was the last time a motel had room rates ranging from $225 for a first-floor queen to $450 for a Jacuzzi suite?
