Room with an Anti-View :: Hotel Europeenne in Montreal
You know the scene. You open the door to your brand new hotel room, run over to the window, open the blinds and bam, you are hit with the anti-view. Maybe you are looking down a dirty alley, witnessing a drug deal, staring at an air shaft in the face, or seeing a brick wall. Whatever you are viewing it is not extremely pleasurable. Help out your fellow hotel mavens by uploading your anti-views to the HotelChatter/Flickr photo pool, or by sending the photo along to us. Remember to tell us the name of the hotel and the room number with the not-so-easy-on-the-eyes view.

This anti-view from Flickr member HellaOakland's photo stream was taken at the Hotel Europeenne which at first glance looks as if they phonetically spelled out the word European. And who knows? Maybe they did and tried to pass it off as French. (Ok, it is French.)
Anyways, HellaOakland describes the view for us in the photo's caption:
It wasn't so bad. People complain about not having a good view but we don't care since we're not there to get a view from our window. This isn't isn't so bad though. I would get up in the mornings and look out the window to check out the weather. Sometimes I saw people walking by. Not a bad hotel for $59 a night.
Yes, that's a view at street-level but like HellaOakland says, what more can you expect for $59 a night.
