The Venetian Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas announced yesterday that all of its hotel rooms, including those in the Venezia tower, are undergoing a $100 million renovation plan, expected to be completed by Fall 2007.

The 4,000 suites already feature a sunken living room and marble baths but will now get more modern decor from the rugs to the furniture to the fixtures and of course, the amenities.

Expect to see three televisions in each room (at least one 17" LCD will be in the bathroom), remote-controlled Roman shades and curtains, wireless interenet connection (probably not free), a sleeper sofa, new bedding, and upholstered walls.

So it's nothing too exciting but we never complain when a hotel upgrades its rooms. Especially in Vegas where what happens there and stays there usually happens in a hotel room. That said, if you plan on staying there in the future make sure you are on a floor that is not undergoing renovations.

Riiiiight...

They're gonna refurbish 4,000 suites in 6 months?! "Fall 2007" is the new "Summer 2008," if you ask me.
