Where: TX, United States

Yesterday, we ran a bit on the new kids' suites--designed by kids, for kids--that are opening up at the Omni Hotels in Texas this weekend. And now, we have a snapshot of the Kids' Suites. That advisory board of 10-year-olds did a pretty good job---notice Spongebob on the tube.

Is this the actual hotel room or a page from the Pottery Barn Teen catalog? I hope they stock a kid-friendly minibar and replace the booze with cheetos and coke and all the crap parents never let them eat. As soon as mom and dad leave the room, the kids have a feast and Omni makes a fortune. Everybody wins!

    Old News

Holiday Inn started offering Kids suites in 2001. They had 4 properties participate and I was the Guest Service Manager at the time of one of them. On my property they were not even suites. CHeck out the picture here (and yes that is the best shot they could get). http://www.beverlygarland.com/rooms.asp
Looks like Omni is doing it right.

    Thats funny!

Thanks for sending our way. I give them props for trying but a partition and bunk beds do not make a kids suite.
