We didn't know that there was a group of Omni Hotels in Texas that were named part of the hotel chain's Texas Collection but apparently there is such a group. And they are totally kid-friendly.

The Omni Hotel Texas Collection has unveiled their Kids' Sensory Suites which are full of the comforts of home to appease the very young traveler. Such rooms include:

twin beds with colorful bedding, beanbag chairs, an art table, board games, books cozy bath robes, aquatic-themed bath accessories and a complimentary Kids' Sensation Bar filled with toys, trinkets and snacks.

What's interesting is that Omni hotels brought together an "informal advisory board" of 10-year-old children who shopped around to find the coolest room accessories (like the fish-shaped bath mats) to board games for each of the suites.

Participating Omni Texas hotels include the Omni Austin Hotel at Southpark, Omni Corpus Christi Hotel, Omni Houston Hotel near the Galleria, Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas in the Dallas area and the Omni San Antonio Hotel at the Colonnade.

These properties will start offering the kids suites on June 2, 2007. But they aren't the first. Similar suites debuted at the Omni hotels in San Diego, San Fran and L.A. Prices range from about $245 to $339 per night.

And while you're staying in an Omni, you will probably want to put the kids in the Omni Sensational Kids program which gives kids complimentary gift bags upon checking-in.
