Weekday Hotel Happening: Once in a Blue Moon at Avalon Hotel

Typically, we save these types of event listing for the weekend but hey, a blue moon only comes around once in a while. Actually, only every two and a half years on average.
Hotel: The Avalon Hotel Beverly Hills
When:Thursday, May 31, 2007. Reservations 6:00-10:30pm
Where: Poolside at the blue on blue restaurant.
What: Anything blue that can be eaten will be prepared by Chef Gabriel Gabreski for this "Once in a Blue Moon" dinner. That includes:
·
blue corn tortilla crusted crab cakes with shaved fennel, meyer lemon aioli
· humboldt fog blue cheese featuring pink lady apples, shaved endive, marcona almonds, wildfire honey
· blue nose tuna nicoise with fingerling potato, roasted red peppers, baby artichoke
· grilled N.Y steak featuring point reyes blue,
red wine, spring garlic pomme puree, and creamed swiss chard
· blueberry shortcake with vanilla crème fraiche
But what we really care about is the drinks and those will be blue too like the Blue Moon Beer and specialty blue on blue martinis (pictured above.)
The cost is $75 per person, not including alcohol, tax and gratuity.
