Hilton Toronto is Wild on Canada
May 25, 2007 at 11:21 AM | 0 Comments

Taking Canada's new tourism slogan, "Keep Exploring" to heart, the Hilton Toronto has put together The Great Canadian Exploration package to let guests see the wild side of Canada.
The hotel has partnered up with Moccasin Trail Tours, offering guests a two night stay in the hotel's Hbc Suite before flying them off (via chartered plane) to Moosonee, the gateway to the sub-artic region of northern Ontario.
Travelers will enjoy overnight camping, canoeing, an authentic native meal prepared by a personal chef from Hilton Toronto--and the opportunity to see polar bears, seals and beluga whales up close.
The urban leg of the expedition will also include limousine service, a Chef's table dinner in the hotel suites, and a private shopping spree at Hbc's famed The Bay Store to pick up some gear for the expedition.
And once you get to Moosonee, an experienced tour guide will show you around Moose Factory Island (the oldest English-speaking settlement in Ontario). You will also freighter canoe down the Moose River to James Bay, travel by floatplane to Peawanuck for a walking tour in search of polar bears and camp overnight on the shores of Sutton River. The first night, you will shack up in the Cree Village Ecolodge.
Of course, this crazy extravagant Canadian expedition doesn't come at regular Hilton room rates. The package is available from July 15 to August 31, 2007 at about $18, 154 USD per person and there is a two-person minimum.
To book the package, you can contact the Moccasin Trail Tours at 1-866-844-0497 or by e-mailing info@moccasintrailtours.com.
