Small Rooms But Hip Bathrooms in Hotel Duo

When you're looking for something not too big, a bit hip and fairly central in Paris, then the Hotel Duo might fit the bill (just don't confuse it with another European capital starting with P: there's also a Hotel Duo in Prague). You'll find Paris's version in the Le Marais district near the Hotel de Ville metro station and most previous guests have raved about its trendy location and safe neighborhood feel, all rolled into one.

It looks kinda impressive too, with reasonable rates (under $200) and TripAdvisors give it the decorative thumbs up without it being overwhelmingly modern and cool:

The hotel is done in warm chocolates and is chic and very comfortable... Really cool bathroom and generally really well decorated.

On the down side, the rooms are a bit on the small side and there are definitely mixed reviews of the service--a few previous guests have complained that the front desk staff had little or no recommendations to give for eating or sightseeing. To end on a positive, Wifi is available in the lobby and in rooms on the lower floors.
