It seems as if Jason Pomeranc things come in threes. First there was the random Six Columbus ad in Black Book. Then there was the Thompson Hotels co-owner Stephen Brandman and his Aussie babes.

So what is number three? Jason Pomeranc turned his 36th birthday bash into a party celebrating his "imminent opening" of three hotels. Page Six has the "report" (i.e. carefully worded paragraph from publicist) which piggybacks on Kate Hudson's romance with Owen Wilson.

Kate Hudson took Saturday night off from canoodling with her honey Owen Wilson to help hotelier Jason Pomeranc celebrate his 36th birthday at Beatrice Inn. Hudson hung with Pomeranc's girlfriend, Dolce & Gabbana exec Ali Wise, fashion designer Francisco Costa, Rachel Zoe and Russell Simmons. Pomeranc was also celebrating the imminent opening of three new hotels - the Thompson Six on Columbus Circle, the Thompson Beverly Hills (which will include a Bond Street sushi restaurant) and Thompson LES on Allen Street.

Hmmmm...Thompson Six on Columbus Circle? Whoa. Our head is spinning. Forget, Jason's ability to attract incredibly hot blondes--Pomeranc is only 36? Really? As far as the name change goes, we are guessing the Six Columbus name probably stirs up bad memories of a hotel that never opens. However, would Axel Rose ever change the name of his Chinese Democracy album? C'mon, let Six Columbus live! As far as we are concerned, this name change isn't official until we hear it from Thompson, or see it on their website.

One more thing, Allen Street and Thompson Beverly Hills are FAR from imminent, remember, most of the world goes by the Gregorian Calendar. Although we confess--we're excited about the Bond Street sushi restaurant. Well-played Pomeranc, well-played.
