Here is my favorite hotel room view.  This is from the lesser priced Ocean View rooms at the Raleigh Hotel in South Beach, Miami, (the more expensive Ocean View rooms are in the part of the building that is further towards the pool, so that you really don't see any of the hotel at all when you look out the window.... just the grounds..... but I like to see a few Raleigh hotel room windows while I am taking in the view... maybe someone fabulous is doing something glamorous inside this or that room that has the curtains drawn - or maybe you catch a glimpse of whatever IS going on.)  

As for the room number, I am not sure exactly.... I think I was on the fourth floor that year.  Anyway, the Raleigh is such a lovely place.  I don't really love Miami that much, but whenever I am there I cherish my time at the Raleigh... they have remodeled the whole back yard, pool, beach scene.. and it is a bit too fabulous compared to the understated scene pre-Balazs takeover.  But there is still that cute little cafe in the lobby where one can go get the paper and sit at the counter and read the Times with your coffee in the morning and maybe chat with someone else and see what is going on with all the guests coming and going and those great bellhops they have running around in their outfits.

Anyway, the view is great.. You can really see an unusually wide swath of the blue ocean beyond the hotel grounds, making it feel like the ocean rises in the distance, extending further than the average ocean view.  Also, there is sometimes something interesting going on in the windows or on the roof decks of the neighboring hotel/condo.
