Yesterday, we posted this picture of a hotel somewhere in California with the following hints:

· It's somewhere in California.
· It's a big brand hotel, one you find pretty much everywhere, especially near airports.
· This hotel is not next to an airport.

The mystery hotel is revealed, along with more photos and a video tour after the jump.

Why it's the Sheraton Delfina! Congrats to HotelMaven SBristowSD6 for guessing the hotel right off the bat. (Makes sense when you're a spy living in Los Angeles right? Don't worry your Alias is safe with us.)

Walking into the Sheraton Delfina you would hardly recognize it's a Sheraton. Afterall, we're sort of used to Sheratons being...well...somewhat fugly.

But the lobby, check-in desk and bar are all stylishly designed with dark woods, leather chairs, deep blue fabrics and the requisite Santa Monica ocean-inspired decor. As we walked through the place and checked it out, we kept thinking, "This looks so familiar. Did they get Kelly Weartsler who did the Viceroy Hotel interior in here?" And as it turns out the hotel got an $11 million makeover in 2005 and is now a part of the Kor Hotel Group, who own the Viceroy brand.

Up in the rooms, the furniture is a black painted wood and the headboard is a faux (we hope) alligator leather in a pretty blue color. The bathrooms even get some style. Unfortunately, the haphazard architecture of the Delfina can't be changed so the maze-like of room floors will have to remain.

See for yourself the Sheraton Delfina with our quick video tour.

Even though this isn't technically a Starwood Hotel (you can still use SPG points here), the word in the hotel industry is that Sheratons will get a top-to-bottom makeover. Recently the Sheraton Manhattan got a $6.5 million makeover. While the decor isn't exactly comfortably chic, the furniture is all new and stylish, although the purple chairs don't do it for us. (Note: The pool and fitness center here are still under construction until June 15, 2007.)

Now, if only they could do something about that wireless situation. The in-room internet offering at the Delfina was $11.95 for ethernet. There's also a retarded iPod policy that we'll have to talk about later.Check out more pictures of the Sheraton Delfina in the HotelChatter Flickr Pool
