If you win the prize for the Best Boutique Hotel Accommodation in Australia (2006), we figure you can't be all bad. Sydney's Establishment Hotel is a 31-roomer in an 1897 heritage building with the nearby (and very popular) restaurant and bar--frequented by celebrities as well as guests. And while the existence of the Establishment Bar and the restaurant make it a little more difficult to find the less-well-known hotel, it still is clasically in the heart of Sydney and once you've found it you'll probably be happily near to everywhere you want to get to.

Recent guests are full of praise for the Establishment, remarking on everything from smiling staff, sufficient gadgetry in the rooms and elegant, stylish look to delicious food, sleek lighting and cool showers that flow directly out of the ceiling. The very rare complaints usually center on noise--but you are in the middle of Sydney, after all, so you can expect to hear a bit of partying on Friday or Saturday nights. If you want to get involved in some bar action at the Establishment, check the What's On list and you'll be able to join in with salsa and rumba dancing, wine tasting and heavy partying and dancing on Saturday nights.
