Cubicle Dreamin' is a feature in which we ask the hotel mavens to take some time out of their busy work day, surf the Internet, and tell us what hotel they wish they could beam themselves to right that very second--all on the slave driving companies dime, of course. Oh, like these people aren't surfing aimlessly anyway--at least now their purposeless clicking will be cobbled together into useful hotel stories--we hope. Have a destination hotel you are just dying to leave your cube for? Send the story our way.

In this episode, Hotel Maven Annie0007 picks out her ideal spot for the ultimate getaway. Enjoy.

When that last phone ring, buzz, e-mail, fax, post-box icon, meeting reminder, deadline, and pressing need has me teetering on the edge of sanity all alone in my cubicle, I dream of fleeing to somewhere far, far away.

Perhaps somewhere only accessible by airplane, surrounded by 4.4 million acres of nothing, and I mean nothing, but wilderness? How about a floating eco-lodge with suites outfitted with huge stone fireplaces, hot tubs, and almost guaranteed bear sightings? How about a place where they recommend you bring long underwear?

More on Annie0007's getaway after the jump.

I would steal away to The King Pacific Lodge. You can only get here by plane, so if you forget to forward your itinerary to the boss, well, no one will know where the hell you are.

The reservation will cover the costs of a private chartered flight from Vancouver to Bella Bella, as well as the final leg: a floatplane to bring you up to this very remote hotel that floats on a barge in "a sheltered harbor along the shores of Princess Royal Island in the Great Bear Rainforest of British Columbia."

Yeah, you just can't take it anymore. So splurge on the Princess Royal Suite -- a handy $22,000+ all-inclusive fee for seven nights will get you two floors with a spectacular view of the ocean, the wilderness, and apparently, a big-ass waterfall.

Is that all? There's also a jacuzzi, a massive fireplace, a dining room, two expansive balconies, and all the amenities that come with a resort in the middle of nowhere, Canada --  spa treatments, aromatic baths, massages, a stocked bar, binoculars, superb wine list, and "matching Arcteryx jackets."  And the AI fee will get you a champagne reception, meals and open bar, guided activities, and pretty much free reign of the whole place. Hot dog.

You can't answer the phone when you're wading around catching fish -- and you will definitely land a few. The website posts a weekly report on catch-and-releases, wildlife sightings, even number of guests and "biggest fish caught." The website also lists that you may see three varieties of bears, timber wolves, seals, otters, cougars, and porpoises. You won't see that roaming around the hallways of corporate America.

Not only will nobody know where you are, you won't leave a footprint - that is, an ecological footprint. Lodge owner Michael Euhara just announced he's dropping $250,000 on solar energy panels and a mini hydro-plant to help run the resort and reduce the hotel's greenhouse gas emissions. Good for the environment. Good for you.
