Drag Queens and Models Reading in Their Underwear at Tori Spelling's New B&B

Obviously, we missed all the good stuff when we stopped by to check in on Chateau La Rue on the day of its big opening gala.

Inn proprietor Tori Spelling blogs about what went down on her MySpace page (there are so many things wrong with that sentence--"inn proprietor tori spelling", "blogs", "MySpace" page.)

We gave guided tours of the newly renovated B&B thru out the night. We had live art in each of the 4 bedrooms....models in their undies sprawled across the B&B beds reading. The response was great! we showed pics of what each room used to look like and people seemed quite blown away by the transformation from fuffy ruffled country stodge podge to chic modern loungy....My favorite part of the night though was a Tori Drag Queen Show. The Dreamgirls an LA based drag queen act did an amazing performance as different Tori's. 90210 Tori, Trick Tori, So Notorious Tori (holding Ms Mimi La Rue), and Pregger Tori in a matching dress to mine and toting my hubby on her arm. It was hilarious!

As crazy as this sounds, we are actually proud of Tori Spelling. We've said this before but we'll say it again. This inn could have easily gone the way of Nicky O and Tori didn't have half the money that Nicky did. She supposedly used all her meager inheritance (just $800,000) on renovating it.

So the next challenge is to get actual paying guests (not just celeb friends) to stay there and provide some quality service. Oh yeah, and a web site might help too. Lastly, we hope that Tori drag queen show won't be making a regular appearance there.
