Could it be true? Could the much-hyped 6 Columbus actually be ready to open by April 16, like Curbed reported? It seems awfully ambitious, given the state of the top, scaffold wrapped floors. Who knows, maybe the beast will finally open. Afterall, they said it's a soft opening and we remember the London NYC's soft opening still had men with plywood on cutting tables and heavy machinery hanging about---and the opening rate was still $799. Beside, 27th time's a charm, right?

We went by last night to check things out for ourselves, and the photographic evidence is after the jump.
