Contributor Slam-Dunk: Review and Photos

I have to admit, I'm biased towards Marriott Hotels. I've stayed in many, mostly resort types, around the world, and I've honestly never been disappointed. Marriott has always taken care of us, no matter what the issue. That said, now that you know my built-in prejudice, I want to rave about the Marriott Baltimore Waterfront Hotel.

This hotel is a beautiful 4-star Marriott presence in Baltimore, MD. It's slightly removed from the Inner Harbor, but everything (the Baltimore Aquarium, the Maryland Science Center, all the delights of the Inner Harbor) is in easy walking distance.

The lobbies, reservation desk, bar, and snack bar areas are all finished with beautiful dark wood, highly polished marble floors, and gorgeous crystal chandeliers.

The front desk folks couldn't have been more courteous, polite and helpful.As it was our anniversary, they sent a complimentary bottle of champagne along with chocolate-dipped strawberries and a card signed by all the reservation staff.

Our room was on the top floor (32nd floor) of the hotel, with views of the entire harbor. The room was a typically comfortable Marriott room - great bed, large plasma tv, marble countertops in the bathroom, attractive furnishings. Everything in the room was sparkling clean, polished and lovely.

We were very pleased with everything during our stay at this hotel and will most definitely go back again. Thanks, Marriott, and thank you very much, Priceline!

Thanks Suze for doing this. I noticed some killer views from the hotel room too that we'll have to get up too. But I was wondering, how much exactly did you pay through Priceline? I think the average rate here is like $180...Also, so what do you think of the Marriott Smoking Ban?

We paid $100/night for the room using Priceline, but I think we could even have gotten it for less. The hotel was packed, too. The rack rate is $259, so we were very very pleased!
We don't smoke, so any hotel that offers smoke-free rooms is on our short list. Nothing bothers me more than being assigned a room that smells like cigarette smoke.

Ah, is that what you were looking for? For a long time, it looked like your 'submit a story' button was gone, but I see it's back now. Will start submitting again...

Welcom back. Yeah, spammers, pr flacks, etc, killed the submit a story usefullness (makes us wonder about other, bigger hotel review sites) so we jacked up the permissions. Now, you can leave comment reviews on any hotel pages and stories. However, if you want to submit a story for possible HotelChatter publication you have to have permissions, which you earn by being a good commenter, etc. You should already have the appropriate permissions, let me know if you don't and I will make sure you get them.
