The Milford Plaza Is Going After Baseball Fans

The Milford Plaza, best known for a commerical in the 1980s that remains buried in the minds of anyone who grew up within a half-hour of New York City, is turning into somewhat of a baseball hotel.
First there was the New York Mets 1986 World Series Winner commemorative deal where you could get an upgrade for $19.86. Now there's a new baseball deal for either a Met or a Yankee fan:
Milford Plaza will be offering the "Take Me Out to the Milford" package this spring. It includes a $20.07 room upgrade (when available) to Milford Club accommodations in honor of the 2007 season. It also includes a VIP gift bag** for Met or Yankee fans alike, which includes a team baseball hat, a box of Cracker Jack® and a bag of peanuts.
Room rates start at $259, which is not so bad compared to some hotels that charge over $500 a night. The Milford Plaza is located in the heart of the Broadway/Times Square district so a trip out to either ballpark is going to be a bit of a hike. But you'll be staying in the "lullabye of all broadwaaaaay!"
