A Few More Details About Lafayette House
March 22, 2007 at 12:28 PM | 4 Comments

So some of our Lafayette House Hotel confusion has been cleared up. A call to the hotel reveals it's actually not in transition to some sort of condotel/developers wet dream. The Lafayette House was once a townhouse which then turned into a hotel, albeit with a different sort of MO.
While maid service is part of the deal, hanging in the lobby and sitting around the pool isn't. According to our source, there are 14, not 15, rooms that are "Big by New York standards--I would call them suites." A couple rooms have kitchenettes while another few have living areas with a desk and sofa. If that's not enough room for you, the rooms can be connected to one another, making for flexible long-term space. While the property seems well suited to a longer term stay, you can also book a room just for one night. If you have, tell us what's going down.
