NYC Downtown Hotels Openings Update: Pomeranc's 'Candle in the Wind'

A Flickr member posted this photo to the Curbed Flickr Group showing that Jason Pomeranc's Allen Street masterpiece is moving forward by getting some glass. Also funny to note is that Stu_Jo calls Pomeranc's hotel the "Candle in the Wind".

Over on Bowery the Bowery Hotel is getting ready to open soon, although there is no concrete opening date. Curbed has pics of the hotel's inside construction and NYC restaurant blog Eater mulls over whether or not there is a restaurant opening in the hotel. But according to the CurbedWire Inbox a tipster says that a construction worker said "there'd be a restaurant at street level, a bar on the first floor up and the hotel above that."
