Can 'What Happens in San Diego...' Be Far Behind?

Speaking of "scary gothic sex castle influence," what's been happening at The Ivy Hotel, which we first told you about last summer?

Just your run-of-the-mill behind-schedule hotel build out, it looks like. (Wait, you know something we don't? Why yes, we would love to hear about it.)  We called to find out if the Ivy was already taking reservations. Eh, sort of. Anything after June 1 for now, though the website has the opening scheduled for "Spring 2007". Before that, they said Fall 2006. So until spring or summer, we're still stuck waiting for this:

Expose your desires at Envy nightclub, a glitterati gathering place with distinct VIP lounge areas. Indulge your senses at Eden rooftop bar, pool and sundeck and sultry lounge. And experience the rich cuisine at Quarter Kitchen restaurant, San Diego's finest new destination to see and be seen. Danger ahead. The voyeuristic allure of Ivy is mysterious and irresistible.
