[Update: Looks like a G'skip commenter agrees with us. We feel you PAR.]

The good folks over at Gridskipper asked a bunch of building aficionados, "What is the ugliest building in Manhattan".

The panel has some great answers, but we think they missed the ugliest building in New York--The Westin Times Square. Maybe we just have a hotel bias--ya think?

The actual fugliness of this building may get mistaken for virtual ugliness, since it is in Times Square, however, to prove its innate unattractiveness we present the above photo.

It's Definitely Eye-Catching

This is Times Square, so would you expect anything less? Just in case you were curious, see that orangey/yellowy/browny box thing at the bottom, that's where are the conference and banquet rooms are.

The Westin is probably even uglier than the Sculpture For Living, but it's not as out of place. Good for them. They knew if they were going to build that monstrosity, they'd have to put it near the Port Authority. If only the people behind the Sculpture For Living were so smart.

Ulgy but different

Hey, at least it doesn't look like every other building, but I will say it is pretty ugly.
