Veranda House Drops Weird 'No Food' Policy

A while back we checked in on the Veranda House in Nantucket which we thought was a refreshing and modern twist on the island's B&B theme. Meaning, it didn't smell or look like Grandma's house.
But the only downside was that the hotel requested guests to sign a "No Food or Drink" policy once they checked-in which was not only odd but like totally oppressive. Just like Grandma's house.
Luckily we have some good news today. A rep from the Veranda House lets us know:
[A]s of April 2006 the hotel has been under new ownership. The no food policy has since been abandoned and the breakfasts have been revamped...bathrooms have been completely redesigned and rooms now have flat panel TV/DVD, wireless Internet and phones with voice mail.
So not only are you allowed to bring back Funions and Mountain Dew to your room, you can watch TV and contribute to your favorite internet forums all from the comfort of your bed. Now, what would Grandma think of that?
