Room with an Anti-View: The Proximity Hotel Has Great Windows But Too Much Highway Proximity
You know the scene. You open the door to your brand new hotel room, run over to the window, open the blinds and bam, you are hit with the anti-view. Maybe you are looking down a dirty alley, witnessing a drug deal, staring at an air shaft in the face, or seeing a brick wall. Whatever you are viewing it is not extremely pleasurable. Help out your fellow hotel mavens by uploading your anti-views to the HotelChatter/Flickr photo pool, or by sending the photo along to us. Remember to tell us the name of the hotel and the room number with the not-so-easy-on-the-eyes view.

Thanks to Ajbelongia who dropped this photo in the HotelChatter Flickr Pool we now know that the rooms at the newly opened Proximity Hotel in Greensboro, NC have killer windows but unfortunately this being Greensboro, there's not much to look at except a highway. Let's just say the hotel's lives up to the proximity part of its name.
Ajbelongia writes:
Rooms feature windows 7.4 feet square. Corner rooms like this one feature THREE windows of that size. including one in the bathroom.
That does sound pretty cool, especially having a large window in the bathroom. Let's just hope people can't see in.
And we really don't want to bag on the hotel (they can't help the highway view) because it's actually a very green hotel with LEED certification and everything. So staying here can only be good for you.
Hit up some more killer and anti-views that Ajbelongia so graciously dropped into our pool.
