· Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino: The Aruba Marriott features 22 Executive King Suites and six Governor Suites, all of which feature huge wrap-around balconies at 580 sq. ft., the largest on the island, with ocean views of course. Even better, you don't have to pony up dough to get a suite for balcony space as regular guest rooms have 100 sq. ft. balconies.
· Resort at Singer Island: All rooms at this all-suite hotel feature balconies big enough for two chairs and a small table and all have views of the intracoastal waterway or the ocean. But the 2,100-sq. ft. presidential suite on the hotel's top floor has a wrap-around balcony that can easily host a small soiree.
· Canoe Bay: The Edgewood suite at this Chetek, Wisconsin getaway, is in effect its own guest house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright's protégé John Rattenbury. The suite has 2,083-sq.ft. and a 1,438-sq.ft. outdoor wraparound deck that overlooks a private nature reserve and glacially-carved lake. To put into perspective--our two bedroom apartment is 900-square-feet and overlooks an alley in Santa Monica.
· Palace of the Lost City: The 1,000+sq.ft. African Suite at this hotel has a balcony with an outdoor Jacuzzi overlooking the Pilanesberg National Park. The interior is not too shabby either with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
· Bowery Hotel: Jacuzzis and outdoor showers on a terrace in Manhattan. Need we say more? Ok, we'll say a little more. These are the Bowery Suites and are on floors six, seven and fourteen. The hotel says they start at $550 a night but you will probably pay closer to $700.
Have a hotel balcony we should know about? Send us the info--square footage and price--and we'll add it to the list.
