Royalton Hotel Too 'Dull' for Carrie Bradshaw and Pals

We're starting to feel sorry for the Royalton Hotel. Pretty much no one likes this place anymore, even though recent TripAdvisor reviews are decent. We used to attribute it to the ghost of Ian Schrager who was still haunting its halls, reminding the hotel that without him it will never be anything.

Then Morgans Hotel Group gave the hotel an extensive renovation and facelift, hoping to boost its popularity once again. But the new look backfired. Schrager dissed it as did original designer Philippe Starck and so did cranky NYT reviewer Denny Lee. It's akin to when Meg Ryan got her lips and cheeks done and suddenly, she was no longer America's Sweetheart but rather just another trout pout Beverly Hills matron.

Now, Page Six is reporting that even though the Royalton hosted the wrap party for the cast and crew of the Sex and the City movie, Sarah Jessica Parker spent most of the night drinking at Elaine's.

Somebody save the Royalton and quick! Before it decides to get shave its head in a San Fernando valley barber shop.
