Viceroy: This party spot is offering several ways to celebrate New Years Eve at the hotel. For $195 a person, you get tickets to the hotel's New Years Eve party which includes unlimited beverages, go-go and Brazilian dancers (to watch we mean), party favors and a midnight toast and celebration.
Or you can opt to start your night with a five-course dinner at the hotel restaurant, Whist, prepared by Chef Warren Schwartz. The $325 price tag includes all drinks at dinner, dinner itself and entrance to the party. The dinner seating starts at 830pm. You can also get an earlier seating at $250 per person or if you are over 65, you can just do dinner starting at 530pm and at $135 a person.
Lastly, you can go all out and spend the night. For $1,000 you get dinner for two at the second seating at Whist, entrance to the party and a late checkout of 3pm.
Sunset Tower: If you have a party in the Hills or just wanna party like The Hills, the Sunset Tower has rooms available but for a two-night minimum. So for Dec. 30th and 31st we found a queen deluxe for $495 a night. Yikes. Even though we liked this hotel a lot, $1,000 is a lot to spend on a hotel room.
Sunset Marquis: Surprisingly more affordable was this hipster hangout which had a junior suite available for $340 a night, although a two-night minimum was also required. Who knows? Maybe Owen Wilson will be there.
Maison 140: Looking to shack up in Beverly Hills but don't want to pay Beverly Hills prices? We found a deal for this hotel at $239 a night but you have to stay two nights.
Sheraton Downtown LA: Normally, we wouldn't recommend a downtown Los Angeles hotel and Sheratons haven't really won us over in the past. But this Sheraton recently got a renovation so as to get some business from the LA Live project thats going up. The makeover includes dark wood and '40s-era furniture, new carpeting and bedding and new bathrooms.
Rooms are pretty much booked on New Years but there are some junior suites available for $495. So we say gather your girls and pile in the rooms after you attend the Rufus Wainwright and Belinda Carlisle concert at the nearby Walt Disney Concert Hall.
