Hotel Countdown: One Week Until Palazzo Las Vegas Soft Opens

What lays behind these walls is a fashionista's dream come true.

The Palazzo Las Vegas is set to open next Tuesday and we are sure to be covering its first reviews.

However, we will probably be more excited when The Shoppes at the Palazzo open on January 18, 2008. This mega mall will be about 450,000 square-feet and filled with all of the finest things money can buy. It will be anchored by a 85,000-square-foot Barneys department store and other haute designer boutiques will surround it like Tory Burch, Christian Louboutin, Diane Von Furstenberg, and Van Cleef & Arpels.

And as we mentioned before, restaurants from Mario Batali, Emeril Lagasse, and Charlie Trotter are expected as well as an off-shoot of the Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire's celebrity hot spot CUT by Wolfgang Puck. Other franchises include Dos Caminos, SushiSamba, Morels French Steakhouse & Bistro, and a Grand Lux Cafe. (They already have one of these in the Venetian so we aren't sure if they are replacing  this or just going to have two Grand Lux Cafes.)

Pretty much the only problem we have with the Shoppes is the Olde English spelling. That annoys us almost as much as a cleaning business called Krazy Kleaners.
