While we wouldn't go so far as to call Philadelphia "Fabulous" just yet, there is a lot of push happening to restore Philadelphia's image as a city that you would actually want to check-out.

Aside from hip restaurants, funky shopping, burgeoning neighborhoods and new historical tours, Philly's hotel scene is starting to shake up.

We reported that a restaurant from chef Stephen Starr would be coming to town inside the W Philadelphia and the Loews Philly just got a recent $9 million makeover. Now it looks like Kimpton Hotels is making a move. From a local news item:

"Boutique hotel operator Kimpton's checking into the Architects Building at 17th and Sansom Streets, across from the Sofitel and next to Club Quarters; the popular AIA bookstore will relocate to 1218 Arch St. after the holidays."

Let's hope Kimpton has better room views than the Club Quarters hotel.

That's great! Many people will surely love it. On the other hand, have you ever heard the Philadelphia law firm Wolf Block? For those of you who haven't heard it, Wolf Block is a prestigious law firm with more than 100 years of history of operation and a diverse practice with over 300 attorneys. But, recently, the firm has fallen on hard times and they decided to hold a meeting of the partners to determine just what the future is going to hold. Still, they are keeping their options open. There's no doubt that Wolf Block is in need of help.
