HotelChatter is Hiring

November 2, 2007 at 12:46 PM | by HotelChatter | 1 Comment

HotelChatter is looking to hire bloggers. Now that is not a sentence you read every day. There is pay, enough to buy you a flight from Greensboro to "Skybus New York" without a problem.

Furthermore, your name and byline will be featured in pretty, bold, HTML, for all the world to see, you will be a blogging star, and who knows, you might even end up going on some sort of travel boondoggle -- oh, now we have your attention don't we?

See how to join our travel fray, after the jump...

HotelChatter Contributing Editor
We need a quick witted editor to assist with the daily publication of HotelChatter. This person will be responsible for a small number of daily posts, should grok hotels, entertainment, travel, and the web. If you blog, or have blogged, read blogs, you might have the required skill set.

Photoshop, a bit of HTML knowledge, and blogging skill are all expected. Please do not apply if you have no experience with blogging software.

HotelChatter Correspondents
We are looking for bloggers and writers to comment on hotel scenes worldwide. You must be able to contribute at least once a week and having a blog is worth big bonus points. Think you have you can keep track of every hotel rumor in your hotel infested hood? Give us a shout.

HotelChatter Intern
Looking to break into the world of online publishing and just love hotels? As our intern you will have to do a bit of everything, but you will probably end up with some bylines.

Interested in any of the above? Don't bother sending us resumes, yet. Just send three travel blog entries (hint: use HotelChatter for voice ideas and don't send usual, dry travel writing stuff) to us at help[@]hotelchatter.com. Please put "HotelChatter" as your subject line. Oh, and if you have a blog feel free to send along that URL as well.

    Re: HotelChatter is Hiring

Well I'm keen to be heard, keen to put real travelling folks in touch with what they are looking for and not what marketing departments want them to think they want. In my former life I spent hours dreaming up ways of marketing and selling unsuspecting consumers books and some of them worked! I now for my sins run with my partner , an award winning B & B and am now looking for something to occupy those cold winter days apart from skiing! I know a lot about New England and also am well travelled, and most importantly I'm British! Why is this important.....well my forefathers used to run the world (long before CNN and George Bush) and I was always taught in history that 'we' were something....so I am happy to believe that i am still a part of that something!

Please do check out my comments on Trip Advisor (where my rather attractive logging name is Davidbignose). I am also for my sins, am the alleged local expert for Woodstock Vermont on Trip Advisor. More importantly as member of your site (admittedly quite a recent one) I have posted a few blogs, I do think you run a wonderful resource.

Proudly I am a member of the British Sausage Appreciation Society...see our web page for more details...www.woodstockervt.com and I also became a semi finalist in the world custard pie throwing championships in 1979!!! Sadly I didn't win....too much surface area on me as I'm tall and I took a direct hit.

    Beat that if you can!
