Kimpton Selling Gift Shop Gear Online
Kimpton Hotels, has just re-launched its retail website, KimptonStyle.com.
Think of the site as the virtual equivalent of the lobby gift shop. It sells more than 100 products for "guests looking to recreate signature Kimpton hospitality in their own homes." And part of the proceeds go to benefit the non-profit groups that Kimpton regularly supports such as Dress for Success, Trust for Public Land and the Red Ribbon Campaign for HIV/AIDS awareness.
Those who buy Kimpton's signature animal print luggage, designed by Hideo Wakamatsu, will be contributing to a poor woman's shot at an employment by indirectly donating to Dress for Success. The downside? Well, you'll have to be seen rolling leopard- and zebra-print suitcases through the airport. Worth it? Tough call.
