Hey, remember Brooklyn's new boutique Hotel Le Bleu, which was supposed to open on Monday? We went to check it out last month, and things were looking good. But the place has hit a few snags, and as of now, the hotel is taking reservations for Nov. 2 and later. Oh, the irony. Six Columbus (which Hotel Le Bleu absolutely did not want to be compared to) opened on Monday instead.
So what's the hold up? General Manager Robert Gaeta went in for a meeting with the NYC Department of Buildings to finalize a certificate of occupancy. How'd it go?
Building Department has mis-located our paperwork and the meeting had to be re-scheduled. Another week? Very frustrating, but the rooms are ready to sell.
Gotta love that red tape. Once the hotel actually opens, it'll be a few more months before the rooftop restaurant and bar are in place.
