The Six Columbus news train keeps chugging along....

Now that the hotel is open, it's time for us to cast our attention on Six Columbus' restaurant: Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill. While the official line is that it should open in a couple weeks, we've learned to be skeptical. But tracking down a chef de cuisine is a good start. And a source tells us Blue Ribbon tapped Jose Salazar for the position.

He used to work across the street in the Time Warner Center at Bouchon Bakery, so he should have no trouble with the brasserie half of the menu. As for the Asian half, here's hoping he fares better than the Gramercy Park Hotel's Wakiya, which just took a zero-star beating from New York Times food critic Frank Bruni. Ouch.

    Dear "pbb",
instead of quoting : Wakiya just got 0 stars from NY times Frank Bruni...Ouch"
why don't you go there yourself and try the food and be your own judge or should I say critic.

Because I don't like wasting money on places that have been panned by nearly every critic in NYC.
