Car Rentals:
There's no retail partners but car rental deals at Avis.
Airlines:
Airline Partners include American Airlines, British Airways, Continental, Delta and Southwest.
MILES: Yes
CREDIT CARD: No but when you join Hyatt's Faster Free Nights program, you can use your Mastercard to earn a free night for every two-night stay. Additionally, American Express cardholders receive special Hyatt offers.
REWARDS: Members earn 5 points per eligible dollar. Upgrades start at 3,000 points. Free nights start at 5,000 nights in a Category 1 hotel, up to 18,000 nights in a Category 5 property. Higher levels of membership available, Gold after 15 stays, with more benefits.
WHAT WE LIKED: That its small and straightforward. It only partners with car rental companies. Some of the bigger programs come with too many choices. The online awards calculator should come in handy. Members can donate points to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Until recently we thought hotel loyalty programs were for Account Executives rolling their business travel points into a family vacation at a bland resort every year or two.
