Another Beatles Hotel Planned for Liverpool

October 25, 2007 at 2:49 PM | by | Comments (3)

While the Hard Days Night Hotel was the first Beatles-themed hotel on the scene in Liverpool, it might not open in time to be the first Beatles-themed hotel taking guests.

That's because an 18-room Beatles hotel is planned to open soon. The owner is Sarah de Fermor who already owns the Lennon's Bar in town. The hotel will be named after one of the Beatles' song--Eleanor Rigby and is expected to open in two months. Meanwhile the Hard Days Night is set for a January opening.

Re: Another Beatles Hotel Planned for Liverpool

Who in their right minds calls their hotel a Hard Day's Night?

Doesn't sound too comfortable to me.

It's like calling your restaurant 'The Stomach Churn' or 'The Rancid Walnut'. No?

I wonder what the guests of a Beatles-themed hotel talk about over their pre-dinner drinks...?

Good point, who wants to pay for a hard night in a hotel ... but then again, Eleanor Rigby is all about "all the lonely people" which also doesn't sound like what you're after on your vacation. Plus she dies ... I would call my Beatles hotel "Eight Days a Week" and try to get guests to pay for the extra day :-)

My Beatles Hotel...

Would be called "Octopus' Garden". That was a happy song and the hotel can be family friendly. Or it can be a hipstery type of place for adults, if you interpret the song to be about drugs. Same goes for my "Yellow Submarine" hotel.
