What's Next for Thompson Hotels? Apparently, A Lot

Gild Hall, New York: Opening December 1, 2007.

Just because Six Columbus opened doesn't mean we here at HotelChatter are through with Thompson Hotels. While 2006 and most of 2007 wasn't a very good here for Jason Pomeranc and his boutique hotel group, things are looking up.

· Thompson Beverly Hills is rapidly moving along and is expected to open next month in November as will the hotel's restaurant Bond Street from Jonathan Morr. Remember you can already book some of the renovated rooms now although most of the hotel is not completed.

· Gild Hall will supposedly open on December 1st at 15 Gold Street (formerly a Holiday Inn) in New York's financial district.

· Thompson LES will open sometime in February and eager guests can lay their heads down on the F*#@/Sleep pillows.

· Smythe Tribeca is set for a Summer 2008 opening, making it the first Thompson hotel that you can actually live at.

· And there's more: Donovan House in Washington, DC is coming in February 2008 and there's still a property in the works for Toronto.

So far it looks like 2008 will be a good year for Jason Pomeranc and his partner/co-owner Stephen Brandman so long as there are no more delays of Six Columbus proportions.
