It's a little behind its initial opening date and its second opening date but the Westin Monache Resort Mammoth is gearing up to open its door right smack in the middle of prime snowboarding and skiing season.
The hotel is now accepting reservations for arrival after January 15th, 2008.
The website is still undergoing some construction/additions so there are only photo renderings of the exteriors and the guestrooms but we do learn that the Whitebark restaurant and lounge is still on, the hotel will be completely smoke-free and the deluxe suites feature kitchenettes.
Yet it will probably be pricey. We tried a few different dates in January, February and March and the lowest rate came back for a deluxe suite at $400 a night. But that's the price you will pay for being close to the ski lifts and the Village at Mammoth Lakes.
