Signature at MGM Grand Tops Las Vegas on TripAdvisor

We don't put complete faith in the hotel rankings done by TripAdvisor for each city. Sometimes they are spot on and sometimes they are completely off--like the Hampton Inn being the #1 hotel in Miami.

These rankings have to do with reviews and price and not necessarily the hippest spots, but we were interested in the #1 choice for Sin City. It turns out that Signature at the MGM Grand is the winner.

The average price is listed as $284 and the most recent review calls this "Best Hotel Stay Ever in Vegas". The page has more similarly titled reviews.

Guests love the private entrance, the all-suite accommodations with jacuzzi tubs and the separate living areas and kitchenettes with Sub-Zero appliances. Plus there's a lot of space. The junior suites start at 550 sq. ft. That's like more than two Mercer rooms put together.

Indeed our favorite hotel maven Dzot popped in there last year and wrote that the Signature was the perfect place for people escaping the madness of the strip without being too far from it.

However, this place has some downsides--like a $15 resort fee added to your room rate, and another guest complained that there were only 5 HDTV channels. Also, you still have to walk about 10 minutes before you hit the main casino floor. But that's really not that bad. We may just book this place on our next trip to Vegas.
