Party Dispatch:: Bai Ling Looks Bored at the Hollywood Roosevelt

On Saturday night we hit up the "Visions of Hollywood" GQ photo exhibition at the Hollywood Roosevelt. We only did a quick walk-through of the exhibit and thus missed several celebs in the process because we were too busy drinking. But aside from this exhibit, there was a ton of other stuff going on at the hotel.

For starters the Dakota bar and restaurant was bustling with hotel guests, locals dining out and people stopping for a quick drink. Outside at Tropicana, things were quiet early in the evening but up above on the glass bridge/VIP section was the for-one-night-only RJ Dunhill smoking lounge which was created to promote a new line of Dunhill cigarettes.

Up there we spotted Bai Ling and Tommy Davidson (In Living Color alum) and sipped on Peronis while an engraving artist personalized us a cigarette case. As for Bai Ling, she looked completely bored and was on her Blackberry pretty much the entire 20 minutes she sat up there. We even snapped her in action (above.)

Down at Teddy's, rumor had it that Brett Ratner was throwing a party there but when we contemplated navigating the crowd of wannabes and suck-ups to get inside we ultimately decided a burger and fries from the hotel's 25 Degrees burger bar would be so much more fulfilling. And it was.

All in all, there was a lot of stuff happening at the Roosevelt that night and we're sure stuff like this goes on every weekend night but we just wanted to go home. We pitied the souls actually staying in the hotel who had to deal with the noise until at the earliest 1:45am. We guess some things never change.
