Since Vegas' off-strip The Platinum Hotel and Spa doesn't have gambling, what's a guest to do? Get boozed, apparently. Good thing they've hired Niles Peacock to dream up some out-there drinks.

With loads of bar experience in Miami and Aspen, Niles is now branching out into creative cocktails made with his homemade hooch. The Fear and Loathing comes flaming and full of absinthe, while the Thai'd Up mixes lime- and lemongrass-infused spirits, agave nectar and lime juice served in a sugar-rimmed glass.

Niles' full range of drinks is on pour at Stir, the hotel's lounge (pictured above) as well as at the fifth-floor pool. Too bad they aren't on special during the reverse happy hour that runs from 10 pm to 1 am.

The picture kinda reminds me of the bar at the Loews Madison Hotel in Washington, DC.
